Read MoreA trained General and trauma surgeon by profession I always thought my job was to cut and heal. The steel scalpel obeys commands of my precise hands involved in delivering healthcare for past twenty-seven years. Blood hardly scares me but my experiences dealing with patients in pain and distress along with my own tearful stories demanded that I replace my cutting knife with a pen. The blog is a peek into these sharp and blunt tales picked up from experiences of life that have impacted me and of those in whom I have been able to make a difference. The silent writer existing in my personal journals for years feared acceptance attempting to find her own voice. As the writing journey began encouraged by powerful mentors, I have gathered enough courage to write boldly from a variety of perspectives and roles I have been assigned in my life and grateful for. Writing has been a passionate, deeply soul-satisfying exercise and the catharsis has only helped me heal and develop a deeper connection to my soul and a wounded healer has truly emerged. My blog is merely a channel of healing in whichever way one may find resonance. I invite all the heart connected souls to my blog ” The Knife’s edge” to read, reflect, find encouragement and stay inspired.
